Delete from inside the app
The fastest way to delete your Grudget account is from within the app itself. The option is available to all users, free or paid, on iOS and Android.
Steps
- Open the Grudget app on your phone.
- Tap the settings cog in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm when prompted. The deletion request is submitted immediately.
You'll be signed out as soon as the request is submitted. Your account, all your financial data, and any shared splits you've set up will be queued for permanent deletion (see the timeline below).
Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app for any reason — for example, if you've already uninstalled it — you can request account deletion by email instead.
How to request
- Send an email to help@grudget.com.au
- Use the subject line: Delete my account
- Include the email address associated with your Grudget account so we can find and verify it.
Em will reply within 10 business days to confirm the deletion has been processed. No password recovery, no security quiz, no upselling on the way out. Just done.
